Casemate Y: Life in the Garrison
Until World War II the fortified town of Naarden was used as a fortification. Almost all the buildings in the town were used by the military forces; for housing or for military purposes such as the arsenal or the military hospital. This casemate, in the centre of the museum, shows how soldiers lived, worked and slept.
