Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum vprocesses your contact details because you use our services and/or because you submit them to us.

Below, please find an overview of the personal data we process:

– First name and surname

– Gender

– Address details

– Telephone number

– E-mail address

– Other personal data that you submit actively, for instance by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence or by telephone.

– Details about your activities on our website and reactions to our social media utterances.

 

 

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process:

Our website and/or service does not have the intention to gather data about website visitors younger than 16 years of age. Unless they have permission of parents or legal guardian. However, we cannot check if a visitor is over 16. We recommend that parents monitor the online activities of their children, to prevent data about children from being gathered without parental permission. If you are convinced that we have gathered personal data about a minor without permission, please contact us at info@vestingmuseum.nl; we will then remove this information.

This concerns decisions made by computer programmes or systems, without a person (e.g. an employee of the Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum) being involved. Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum uses the following computer programmes or systems:

– Reservation system, reservations

– Google agenda, reservations

– Microsoft mail, mail and mailings

– Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, social media utterances

 

For how long we store personal data

The Dutch Fortress Museum Foundation will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realise objectives for which your data are gathered. We set the following storage terms for the following (categories) of personal data:

Name and address details upon reservation: 2 years with an eye to possible recurrence

Name and address details upon invoicing: 7 years due to legal obligation

Personal data and correspondence in case of a job application: 4 weeks after termination of the procedure

Sharing of personal data with third parties

Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum will not sell your data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you of to meet a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we make a processing agreement to ensure the same level of protection and confidentiality of your data. Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum remains responsible for this processing.

Cookies or similar techniques that we use

Stichting Het Nederlands Vestingmuseum only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. View, adjust or remove data

You have the right to view, correct or remove your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any permission for the processing of data or object to the processing of your personal data by The Dutch Fortress Museum Foundation, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to send the personal data that we have of you in a computer file to you or another organisation mentioned by you.

You can send a request for inspection, correction, removal, data transfer of your personal data or a request for withdrawal of your permission or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@vestingmuseum.nl.

To make sure that the request for inspection was made by you, we ask you to send us a copy of your ID with the request. On this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN), to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but at least within four weeks.
