The gunners walk
Every first sunday of the month you can join one of our gunners as he walks over the bastion Turfpoort and through the museum.

He will have stories on the life in the fortified town, how soldiers lived and worked, what they ate and what they did in their spare time.
He'll take you to the gunpowder storage, where some 40 casks of gunpowder are stored, so be careful with your matches!

And to stay exercised, he'll fire a 12-pounder gun at the end of the tour, with all the special tools of his trade. His walks start at 13.30 hours.



Patrols through the moat
During the spring and summer season you can join a patrol through the moat in the army green museumsboat. The coxwain has nice stories on the history of Naarden and will show you spots you won't be able to visit by land. He can take up to 18 passengers in the open boat. Boattickets can be bought at the museums entrance. Departure time: every saturday and sunday at 12.30 - 13.30 - 14.30 and 15.30.
